Data Analyst Team Leader
Skyline AI has recently been acquired by JLL (NYSE: JLL), a leading professional services and investment management firm specializing in real estate. We are now part of a Fortune 500 company, with operations in over 80 countries, a workforce of nearly 100,000 individuals around the world, and annual revenue of almost $20B. Within JLL, we are part of JLL Technologies, a rapidly growing, strategic business group whose mission is to leverage technology to increase the value and liquidity of the world’s buildings.
The Skyline AI team has been embedded as-is within JLL, to continue our mission of transforming commercial real estate with data science. We are developing a platform that collects data from hundreds of different sources and uses machine learning to extract insights for making fast and optimal business decisions. We have assembled an excellent team of leading data engineers, software developers, designers, product managers, and data scientists working towards this goal.
Our offices are in Tel-Aviv and we employ a hybrid work from home model.
We are looking for:

5+ years as a full-time data analyst, data engineer, or data scientist

Strong data engineering skills including data processing in Python and use of complex SQL queries

History of leading research and extracting insights from datasets. Able to assess the impact of data sources and data projects, quantify the statistical significance of findings, and use data visualizations to tell the story of the data

Excellent writing, speaking, and presentation skills in English
-
Great social skills, positive personality, and enjoys growing people professionally

Well-organized, accountable, with passion for quality of deliverables

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (M.Sc advantage)

Data team management experience - Advantage

Professionally published work (technical blogs, whitepapers, conference publications, etc.) - Advantage

On a typical day, you will:
-
Manage a team of data analysts while spending ~50% of your time hands-on
-
Interface with stakeholders in engineering, data science, product, and platform teams.

Research data, provide recommendations on dataset value to various efforts and keep growing our data lake
-
Communicate the story of our data across the organization orally and in writing, in English, using statistics and visualizations.

Develop Python and SQL pipelines to clean, process, and integrate diverse data sources and types
-
Ensure data integrity, data freshness, best data practices, and design QA approaches for our data lake

Solve data bugs detected by users and QA
